What Kind of Clearing Do You Need?

Clearing jobs come in all sizes. Some of the most common we see:

  • Overgrown backyards and side yards that got away from the owner
  • Fence lines buried in brush, vines, and volunteer trees
  • Cedar and brush clearing on larger properties
  • Lots being cleared to build a house, shop, or addition
  • Clearing around barns, sheds, and outbuildings
  • Cleanup after a storm drops trees and limbs across a property
  • Creek banks and drainage areas choked with growth

Larger properties toward Flower Mound and the Denton County side of the service area tend to need this kind of work more, but we clear lots of every size.

How We Clear a Lot

Brush and cedar piled for chipping on a cleared property

We start by walking the property with you to mark what stays and what goes. A good clearing job keeps the healthy trees worth saving, like a solid post oak or pecan, and takes out the brush, dead trees, and junk growth around them.

Depending on the job, we cut by hand, use equipment to cut and mulch brush in place, or both. Small trees and brush can be chipped and spread as mulch, or loaded up and hauled away. Stumps can be ground below grade with our stump grinding service so the ground is ready to use.

Clearing vs. Selective Clearing

Full clearing takes everything off the ground, which makes sense for a building pad or driveway. Selective clearing keeps your good trees and removes everything else. For most homeowners, selective clearing is the better option. Mature trees add shade and value, and they take decades to replace.
